So our final stop in New Zealand - back to Auckland for the third time to catch our flight out to Sydney. Time to have a short reflection about New Zealand and give you an overall picture of it. The people are great, very accomodating and have a good sense of humour. And how proud they are of their country. They love New Zealand - and it's easy to see why. It is beautiful, the scenery is so changeable - mountains, beaches, rainforests, glaciers. Best of all is they look after it, you don't see litter here. Also the Maori culture is very much alive and respected. Then there is the adventure side, something to do everywhere you go. OK so it wipes the old budget, but hey we have had an awesome time and compared to England, things are really cheap. Personal highlights were skydiving, quadbiking and dolphin swimming. But as you have seen, there is so much more than that. What is nice about New Zeakland is that there is nothing to bite, sting or kill you. Next stop is Australia with spiders, sharks, snakes and stingrays. But it also has sun, sea, sand and surfers, so hey, maybe it's not all too bad. So I guess the final thing to say is, thank you to those who are still keeping up to date with the journal. I miss you all greatly but as you know, i am truly having the best time of my life. I am so happy and have fit into this travelling malarky far better than expected! I wish you all a very happy Christmas and a prosperous 2007. Take care, and keep in touch. Katherine xxx
