Santiago is our last stop in South America. It is a very pleasant city and quite a bit less backward than the other places we have been to; you can flush toliet paper here. All I can say is WOW! What an amazing and really special place. Easter Island is the most isolated yet inhabited place on earth. It took over 5 hours to fly there from Chile. The island, right in the middle of the pacific ocean has only 4000 people on it (at one point on 111) and has an abundance of huge stone heads dotted about everywhere. I had to add another entry for Buenos Aires because we had a fantastic last couple of days... We had a fabulous night out which was rounded off with taxi races home. Literally tearing through the streets at 50 miles an hour, holding hands with people in a taxi alongside us. We have spent a week here now and have loved every minute.  Since we have been here we have been on a city tour to see the major sites, including the colourful La Boca district where people dance in the street.
