I now understand why so many people go to London and don't come back for years. It's a very very cool place with so much character and history.
The first day there we all work up at 4.30am, very jetlagged, but managed to get a fair bit done during the day before passing out at 6 at night!
We saw Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace just in time for changing of the guards, Harrods, Westminster Abby, the House of Parliament, and Hyde Park. We walked about 10ks and saw a lot of cool old building in the meantime that aren't famous.
The tube is unbelievably convenient and easy. I learnt however to follow what the majority of people are doing now. At one of the tube stations there were a million people all lining up to get into the lifts, we all looked at each other thinking 'lazy s***s' and headed for the stairs. Little did we know we were a lot further down then we thought, and a never ending spiral staircase with 11 kilos on ur back is not fun!
The food here is amazing, there are hundreds of tiny little pubs, all so far with amazing food! They actuly taste like a home style cooked meal, and so much more tastier then what you can expect in Australia!
I could move here very easily!
