Today was awesome! We arrived in Santorini yesterday, on a much faster boat (though it made me feel quite sea sick still). Someone from our hotel came to pick us up and we got to experience first hand the crazy drivers of Greece. Our hotels have all been great so far, and this was no different! We went for lunch where I found a new love in food (moussaka! Kinda like a Greek version of lasagna), siested, then walked around our little town that were staying in near Parissa.
Today we went on a tour that took us on an old boat that toured around the islands of Santorini. Our first stop was a volcanic island with 3 craters, where we walked to the top and saw the steam coming up from underground. Our next stop took us to a natural hot springs, where the water's red from the stone colouring. You literally just jump off the boat into bottomless water, it was pretty refreshing! Next stop took us to a tiny island where the town is pretty much exactly the same as it was 30 years ago, unchanged by modern developments (including internet) we had lunch in the port before heading to Oia, the best place to watch the sunset in Santorini. We went snorkeling and explored the town while we waited for the sun to set before heading to a bar right on the edge of the island that had amazing views of the sun setting over the horizon. A perfect day! Not to mention the donkey ride up the stairs in Oia which was an adventure in itself! Haha. We hung out with 2 other people on the same tour for the day which was fun too (both were from Chisholm - what are the odds!)
