So far, the Greek Islands seem like paradise. I caught a ferry into Mykonos yesterday and am catching another late tonight out to Paros. Weather is perfect, the people are really nice and friendly, and water surrounds you everywhere. It is pretty surreal! Yesterday was a massive effort to find the hotel where Kylie and Bec were. The map that google said where the hotel was, for one, was wrong, and I didn't realize that there were 2 ports and was reading it as though I was at a different one. After hiking for one and a half hours with my backpack, I got pretty over walking, when I asked for directions I was getting mixed responses as to where to go, so decided it best to try and find a taxi. I managed to get into Mykonos town, where you have to wait for a taxi at 'taxi square'. however after waiting there for 20 minutes an only 2 taxis had come in the time (one of which two people squabbled over who was first and both sat in the taxi not prepared to wait for the next one while the driver walked off and got a drink and some food while he waited for them to figure it out themselves). There was still a heap of people in front of me so I walked off and found a man with a tuk tuk who was willing to drive me to the place. He spoke very little English, and the place that he took me looked nothing like my map (that was wrong) we drove up and down a street for ages before Kylie and Bec appeared on the road waving because they'd seen me (happiest moment of my life haha). The hotel in the end had a tiny metal sign with the name on it. After being lost for 2 hours, having little sleep from the night of traveling before I was pooped. We chilled out for a bit before heading into town and walking around, which so happened to much more pleasant without a giant backpack!
Last night we headed out to see Afrojack who was playing on the other side of the island. I ran into Oe which was great, I've been in the same city as her a couple of times but missed her so it was good to finally run into her.
Today has been cruzy, I went into a beauty treatment place where you put your feet into a fish tank and the fish nibble on ur dead skin for half an hour. It was weird! But cool at the same time. My feet probably need a whole day in there considering the work out they've been getting, but half an hour still made them feel better!
