Candle-lit dinners, long walks on the beach, open fires...

This is reading like a romance novel! We´ve had a wonderful 3 days relaxing here in Punta del Diablo. If you want a place to chill out with a little romance then Punta del Diablo is your place, but only in the off-season and you better get in quick! Lots of caveats I know but this little fishing village is changing quickly. In the last five years its grown rapidly with more to come.

The weather hasn´t been that great but we´ve been able to amuse ourselves. Today saw the famous thong throwing contest (yes kids I am Australian, so we´re talking footwear, not undies!). The wind was up, so we had an added advantage, but Tim still kicked my butt! I did beat him when we he threw left handed though (should I be proud of that?).

We also saw a seal on the beach today. He popped out of the water and sunned and scratched himself for a couple of hours. We walked a long way today to the windswept, remote beaches east of Punta del Diablo, with only the cows in the dunes to keep us company.... beautiful.

Tim´s tending the fire in our room as I type. You know boys, they like to play with fire. Happy as a pig in mud.... time to go join him!
