We left the Cardrona hotel a whole week ago now but we have done so much i have a few things to catch up on!

First of all, our camera has BROKEN! so you will have to wait for photo's as we are using a crappy disposable! Sorry! I have some but not many...

The monday after our last shift at the hotel, we went horse riding in the Cardrona valley with Hayley and Elaine (from the hotel). The riding was Western styley which was fun and coming from Canada, Elaine was probably the best out of all of us! The weather was a bit pants and we got caught in the rain but a few drinks in the hotel afterwards soon saw to that and our sore bums!! We stayed over at the hotel that night (we couldn't have driven!) and Hayley and Matt stayed too which was nice. Saying goodbye to everyone was never going to be easy! We're going to miss all of our friends from Cardrona so much and as for Daniel, we tried to abduct him but Hayley and Matt were having non of it! I thought that this was a bit selfish of them! hehe.

The next day (Tuesday) we had a very long drive ahead of us...14 hours up to Golden Bay on the North West of the South Island. We were giving the dishy a lift home as well so at least there were three of us to share the driving! We stopped and re-visited a few places along the way. The pancake rocks in Punakaki were probably the best bit as we got there at sunset...It was about mid-night when we finally arrived at Joel's house in the backass and beyond so we camped in his 'field' for the night. The next morning we drove to Abel Tasman National Park which was pretty much just over the hill outside of his front door!

I'll have to contine later as the luxury of having unlimited internet no longer exists! x
