Galway! After breakfast and a bit of wifi on Friday we left for Galway. After a couple of hours we arrived at another cute B&B. The amount of B&Bs around is incredible, they're everywhere! We explored the town and found a cute cheap place for dinner. It was like a home cooked meal- just what I need! Afterwards we checked out The Quays bar, and spent the night there watching the live band.
Saturday morning we checked out the market in the town before getting picnic supplies and heading for the Connemarra National Park. We stayed two nights in Galway so we left our things in Galway and set off for the drive. It was stunning scenery the entire time we were driving. Our first stop was Clifden, a cute little town. We wandered, I bought a €3 jumper from an op shop, we got a little book for free from the lady 'Life's little instruction Book'. A book with little tips and advice for life, eg. 'seek out the good in people'. Back in the car and off again! We stopped at the Connemarra National Park for a picnic lunch and then a walk through it. Best view from the walk! We met a couple of donkeys that we fed for a while and got photos with before jumping back into the car. We then stopped at the stunning Kylemore Abbey, my blog photo. It was so beautiful. An abbey right on a lake, with nothing but green scenery surrounding it. From there we headed back to Galway, stopping at a cute little castle on our way back. That evening we headed out again, this time to a different Irish pub for dinner and drinks. We met so many locals- the Irish are so so friendly!
Sunday we had a sleep in before heading into town to pick up supplies for the day before jumping into the car and leaving Galway.
Next stop, Limerick!
