We have reached Killarney! I wish I could add more than one photo at a time because truly, this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. There is green for miles and miles and miles. This is our second day here, we arrived last night but I immediately went into town with some other tour mates to explore. I was well too tired from flying to blog, but I'll make up for it today!
This has been a whirlwind of a day.
First, we went to the Kerry bog village, where among other things I have discovered something I know I may become obsessed with- BOG BODIES! There are bodies that were sacrificed and then thrown into the bog, but have actually been preserved due to the acid levels inside the bog. (I read the sign!)
Then, we travelled on to the ring of Kerry. Let me tell you something blog readers, I would sell my left leg to stay here. Driving through the ring and stopping at the lady's view to see the landscape has given me a whole new outlook on life. The beautiful healthy green landscape is just so breathtaking, and I have never in my life experienced something that was so amazing it brought a tear to my eye.
I've added a few videos for you today.
The first one is an Irish sheep herder giving a demo on how the dogs control the sheep. Pretty amazing, and to be honest one of the most Irish things I could imagine seeing. The man giving the demo was funny, kind, and loved his dogs. What more can you ask!
The second one is our tour guide Cathal reciting an old Irish prayer while we drive through the ring of Kerry. The landscape was just awe-inspiring and I wanted to be able to remember it in every form possible.
