Hey there Campers ... Firstly I would like to exspress my annoyance that some scanky sticky fingered pleb STOLE MY FAVOURITE T SHIRT from off the washing line !!!!
Other than that Just a quick one to tell u athat we had an awesome day yesterday with uncle brian (the name of our tour) and gus the bus (the name of our bus) we went arse rafting (not nothing filthy thank u ) its basically sliding down waterfalls on your arse !! Swam behind mila mila falls and did the timote advert hair fling thing ,swam in a huge freshwater lake and saw the biggest pelican in the world (not officially but it looked like it was on steriods or part of some science mutation experiment !)- went platapus spotting (although we didnt actually see any) and generally had a really good day !Last night we went to the woolshed (a bar not an actual shed with wool in it) , We were fortunate to b there to see Mr Backpacker which involved scantily clad tourists dancing like chipendales on tables in order to win a prize , whilst everyone around them screamed and cheered and got drunker and drunker ?! we will put the pics on asap !was really hot today attempted to sunbathe but felt strangely like a turkey must feel on christmas day when its sitting in a tray surrounded by vegetables (there were no vegetables but it was very hot)! After about 20 mins we were done !!!
Looking forward to NZ getting excited we have decided to hire a car and camp all the way bring on the baked beans and stove woo hoo !! I hope its cold at night so i get to wear my cool hat !
Anyway Love peace and understanding maaaaaaaaannnnnnn !!! Miss u all love u all xx

It soooo wet and grey here (I really should have checked these things out before we came away - we also hit Thailand and Malaysia in their wet seasons!! Doh!!!) - but it's still beautiful!!! The rainforest was lovely and peaceful to chill out for a few days. There are warning on the front pages of newspapers about cyclones maybe hitting and to be prepared......we're really excited!!! I know that sounds dumb, but Kim's ambition to go twister chasing might come true!! We're just killing time in the internet cafe while the rain stops for a bit so we can wander around Cairns. Miss you all xxxx
Kimmy

Hello all.....yes I am back!!!! Not sure what to say other than what an amazing time I have had over the past 3/4 weeks. I totally fell in love with Oz- it is hard not to with such breathtaking sights, great weather and amazing people. Like Johnny I really didnt want to come home and was trying to think of every excuse under the sun not to get on that plane at Cairns!! Getting home was quite eventful to say the least-given that my flight from Cairns to Sydney was cancelled so I had to get an earlier one, which was then delayed....and then my bag ended up getting lost in Sydney and I had to come home without it!! It is so difficult to think of a highlight during the trip-New year in Sydney was magical, Byron Bay was such a cool place, Frazer Island was stunning and great fun, and the sailing trip round the whitsundays was just beautiful. The trip was made even more memorable by travelling with such a fab bunch of people. Karla, Kim and Johnny-love you loads and thank you for making the journey such a great one with lots of laughter and fun!! We met some great people along the way, particularly Hazel, and the 'Southern Cross' gang, who I know we will all stay in touch with. I miss Australia and everyone loads and loads and am currently sitting at my desk at work planning ways of getting back out there ASAP! Hope you girlies are not missing me and Johnny as much as we are missing you!! Continue to have a fab time on your journey round Oz and beyond. We are all thinking about you everyday and are looking forward to your return. Big hugs and kisses. Ps: Have a swig of 'goon' tonight for me xxxx
Johnny

I'm glad you all had a great time on the Southern Cross, I enjoyed having you all on board. I've just compleated another 3 day trip and realised that your trip was great as far as wind, water visability & great company goes. Enjoy Cairns and Cape Trib, I've never been up to Cape Trib but every one raves on about it. Hope the rest of your time in Australia goes well, stay in touch.
Johnny
well what a month, definately the best of my life. sharing all of the east coast with kim was just the best time ever. thankyou kim, you made evey minute a million times better babe! i have come back with a bit of a beard, not so much money and prob a liver disorder hee but it was all totally worth it. all 4 of us got on great, thanks again girlies. note to all lads - never order a big meal at a restaurant when your with 3 girls, they never manage it all and most of the time i ate theirs as well. cant wait til karla gets the photo's up. i miss it so much already, totally regret coming home! love to everyone. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHAAA xx
Kimmy

Karlas summed it up pretty well - need to get in there that me and johnny did a 14000ft skydive tho over rainbow beach which was the amazing johnny got a dvd of it but i am scabby backpacker and couldnt afford mine :( - parasailing was also wicked (not a patch on the skydive tho)
yesterday was pure hell for me i felt like i had lost a limb or all four and that i had been repeatedly stabbed in the guts, u know those blubbering wierdos in airports u see attatched to a loved one...well that was me !!then after i had said goodbye to johnny everyone else we were with proceeded to leave us !! what a day, now its just us again we have to get back to real backpacking life which envolves a hell of a lot of rice and packet noodles time to shed the beer belly i have obtained whilst johnny has been here im sure you could fill an olympic swimming pool with the amount of beer and goon me and him have drank over the past month !!!we just checked in to a new hostel and i swear we are in a cupboard/toilet that has just had 2 beds shoved in it !! oh well !! Ha ha a girl next to me in the internet cafes chair just broke and she fell off !!! ha ha sorry as i was saying.... Johnny and Em will b missed especially during games of circle of death which we will take and share with fellow drunkards on the rest of our journey ..... right im off for a beer !!! MWAH XXXX
Karla
Well, Johnny and Emily have left us and it's just me & Kim again - it feels like something's missing!!! The last 4 weeks have been so much fun and we've done some great stuff. I think Em updated a little bit on what we did on fraser island, so after that, we went up to Airlie Beach (after spending a gruelling 18 hours on busses!!). We did a tandem parasail around the bay-which was great fun - we got dunked in the sea and hung upside down! Then the next day we set off to do a 3 day sailing adventure around the Whitsunday Islands. One of the many words to describe it .....Wow, amazing, brilliant etc etc you get the idea!! We went out on a 68ft ex-racing yacht called Southern Cross - a sailing boat that was a contender for the Americas cup. It was by far one of my favourite things we've done on our whole trip so far - the views were fabulous, the sailing was great fun (we spent a few hours at a 45 degree angle when the wind caught our sails and we even managed to get a bit of racing other boats in as well!!), snorkelling was fab (although we had to wear full length wetsuits to prevent any deadly jellyfish stings!), our tans have come back nicely and everyone on our boat was great company. We had such a laugh for the 3 days I didn't want to get off the boat! Then, as usual (we will never learn)- the day before we had to do a huge long journey-we went out and got totally hammered!!!! I don't know how I managed to carry my bags onto the bus and spend the best part of 12 hours sitting on a coach (with no air con may I add - and we're in serious heat up here!!!). But we managed to arrive in Cairns safely without throwing up along the way!!! Now we're just having a couple of days chilling out on our own in Ciarns - then possibly go to Cape Tribulation for a couple of days (the only place on earth that the reef meets the rainforest apparently!) After that - maybe a day trip to the great barrier reef (has to be done i suppose!!) Then, we'll start making our way back down the coast to Sydney stopping at places we didn't see on the way up. Hopefully we'll get to catch up with some firends we've made along the way!! I still haven't managed to get our pictures from the last month on here, but i'll find an internet cafe that lets you download pictures in the next day or so....so please be patient with me!! It's really strange that Em & johnny have gone as we've spent the last month in each others pockets (without any arguments i might add!) - and i'm sure girls at home, you'll all be itching to know....Emily coped amazingly with everything she thought she wouldn't!! We even spent 3 days without mirrors, makeup and showering!!!!! Well, i'll be off now - got lots of Emails to write as I've hardly been in touch with anyone over the last month! Hope you're all well....please keep leaving messages on here- it brightens up our days to know someone is thinking of us when we get a little bit homesick!!!! Heaps of hugs & kisses, Karla xx
