Hi em, Good to hear you are having such an excellent time. I can't believe you drove a 4x4, I hope the others helped you as I know you have a terrible sense of direction! We had a quiet new year and saw it in standing over the cot admiring our little man. We saw Sydney on the telly and it looked fabulous, you lucky girl. I hope the hair straighteners have been to put to good use with all the rain, you are never going to meet the man of your dreams with a frizz on! Any talent out in Oz?! I can't believe the time has gone so quickly, I bet you can't either. It sounds as though you have been a very busy girl, what an excellent tour guide karla must be. Life here is all about sick and nappies but all very lovely. We've had a few smiles and I'm sure he misses his Auntie Em. I do! Can't wait for you to come home and fill me in on all the gossip, but sad that it will be over for you. I predict you may have itchy feet now though and another trip might be in store? Hello all!! Just a quickie - sorry about lack of photos - we're doing the coast in such a ruch so em & johnny can see all of it - we haven't had time to breathe, let alone download 800 ish photo's!!!!! As em said - Fraser Island was amazing - driving the huge 4x4 truck was so cool (and a bit scary at times when the bus skidded around like you were on sheet ice - visions of us tipping over and landing on the roof were popping into everyones heads!!!) We managed to avoid having our babies eaten by Dingoes as well!!!! Am really excited about sailing around the whitsundays - we'll watch out for jellyfish!!
Kim & johnny have just got back from doing a skydive and they're still alive!! It was a bit expensive though, so maybe i'll do it another time.
A note for Chrissie,Graham,Roger & Robin - we might be a month early to America as our money is running out fast, so we're probably cutting a few weeks off New Zealand and fiji, but we'll let you know exactly when we'll be over - hope this isn't too much of a problem!!!

Hi guys its me!!!!!

Thanks to all of you that have left me a message (Caz, Martyn, Sue/Donna etc) it is really nice to hear from you. I am having an amazing time. As Karla said earlier we had a fab new year in Sydney watching fireworks on the harbour and after spending 5 days in Sydney we booked a bus ticket and have been heading up the East Coast stopping at various places for a night or two. So far we have been to Byron Bay (my fave place-really surf chick like!), noosa, Surfers paradise, Brisbane and we are now at Rainbow beach having just got back from a 3 day 2 night camping trip on Fraser Island yesterday. Fraser Island was amazing-so many beautiful sights to see. There were 11 of us is a big 4 by 4 with camping equipment etc loaded on board! We explored the Island during the day and then set up camp on the beach at night. It was so cool and yes Gem/Tash etc even I survived not washing or looking in a mirror for 3 days!!! Shocking I know!!! Hee hee.Driving the big 4 by 4 was wicked and I think I may have to get one when I get home. We are off on a night bus tonight to Airlie beach where we stay for a couple of night before leaving on a sailing trip round the Whitsunday Islands for 3 days. I am really looking forward to that as I am hoping it will be nice weather so I can top up my tan (which at the mo is almost non existant due to all the bloody rain we are having here!!). After that we have another night at Airlie then head to Cairns where me and Johnny fly home and leave the girlies next Monday (booo hooo!). Hope you are all well and things are ok back in snowing UK. Caz/Lou etc: Hope you are not coping too well without me!! Thanks for all the hard work you are probably doing for me and looking forward to seeing you all soon. Martyn: Hope you are out catching lots of baddies and not missing my emails too much! There is a severe lack of scottish guys out here for me to swoon over..... :-( Sue/Donna: Thanks for my message. Hope you are both good and work isnt too manic. Thanks for the update on Cheryl and the bump - pass on my love!! Tash/Gem: My poor little hands are back to there usual self thank you! We were in a bathroom when you rang as it was the morning and we were getting ready! Sounds like you had a fab new year and me and karla would have loved to have been there. Looking forward to catching up when Im back.
Sorry there are no photo's up yet-Karla has taken lots but it is difficult to find an internet place that will let us download then onto the website. We will try and sort it out at Airlie so you can all see what a fab time we are having!

G'Day! Hi all, sounds like you're having a fab time.
I have two very pressing questions, and I think they're ones that all of Northampton need to know...
1. Have Emily's hands returned to a normal colour after their frying on the beach on New Years Eve?
2. Why did Karla have a conversation with us all on New Years Eve...from her bathroom??!! Is that a strange Aussie thing you have picked up - have a pooh and talk to friends at the same time??!! (or is that normal?!)
Anyway, just wanted to send my love. You missed a good un on New Years Eve, though the Npton crew did manage to throw every drink in sight onto the floor (what a waste!) and chomp their way through half the bread and cheese in Britain! We have found Ted a new vocation though, playing DJ! He was pumping out some good tunes, with Doug dancing along wearing a fabulous pair of pink wellies!...You'll have to see the photos to see what I mean!

hey griffgogs do you want to know a terrible secret about uncle Shaun,of course you do.we once went to either kmart or wal mart and uncle Shaun bought some undies, wore them once and skidded one pair with a big twix skiddy then put them back in the wrapper and got his money back,of course i was apalled and did not think it was funny at all.the problem is that i have to go and buy some trunks because mine have finally rotted away and i cannot remember what shop it was so i can go to the other one!!!!

Hello Em and friends! Hope your trip went well Emily, and that you are having a smashing time - missing you loads. Things the same really - people with colds, can't be arsed etc (must be quick in case I get spotted - not working! Lou is photocopying and thinks I am upstairs doing the same!). The sun is shining here today and there is a lightness in the heart - perhaps because I am emailing my dear friend! he he. Heard your news about joining the provision team - deserting me!
