Great Ocean Road Day 2
A nice late start of 8am breakfast and then on the road. We headed further along the Great Ocean Road. Stopping to look at London Bridge and the Bay of Islands and the Bay of Martyrs. Whilst at the Bay of Martyrs our guide, sean, and one of the other guys on the tour decided to go for a swim in the freezing water...they where totally crazy!!! We then stopped at Loch Ard Gorge, named so after a shipwreck that happened here in 1878. There were 2 survivours that got swept up into the caves at the gorge.
From here we drove on to Warranambool to a place called Tower Hill Reserve. It is the site of an extinct volcano and is now the home to koalas, Kangaroos, Wallabies and Emus. We then went to Logans Beach to see if we could spot any whales but there were none but we did get to see a New Zealand Fur Seal happily swimming along in the surf.
We finally left the Great Ocean Road and headed for the Grampians National Park.
