Happiness Is The Road
This was just a day of relaxing, pure and simple..... Oh and I opened a new carton of beer!
LE VIN - STORY 3
This is another French holiday story. I must have been about fourteen when on a holiday we went on a tour around a vineyard. I wasn't looking forward to it much and being a moody teenager I think I was being all sultry and sullen. Anyhow I tagged along with my mum and dad. I remember there being a lot of brick cellars and an awful lot of bottles stored everywhere. There were absolutely loads of people on this tour and I just shuffled along at the back, not really near my mum and dad. For some strange reasons all parents are embarrassing at this age. Eventually after what seemed like ages the tour reached the tasting area. My mum and dad were down at the other end of the room with my dad in particular getting stuck in to the free wine. They weren't mean with the tasting measures, each new wine was opened and half glasses at least were filled. I looked older than I was and anyhow with this being France no one was really bothered about me drinking wine. So with my mum and dad filling their boots they were oblivious to me accepting a glass of every wine on offer and necking them! When we got to the shop at the end I felt a bit squiffy. I bent down to tie my shoe laces and fell into a fit of giggles on the floor. It was then that my mum and dad realised what had occurred!! My dad ended up buying far too much wine and I was hysterical with laughter all the way back to our camp site. Joie de vivre!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Happiness is not at the end of the road, Happiness is the road.
