I awoke to the lovely sound of the lapping waves. After breakfast I went for a walk down the beach scanning the pebbles for any interesting ones. I found a really beautiful pebble and a great colourful shell for Jay. I was also trying to find one of those really lucky pebbles with a hole in it but I didn't spot any. I wasn't travelling far today, only about 15 kilometres to Cape Jervis. That is where I am getting the ferry to Kangaroo Island in a couple of days. ...

It was overcast and rainy today. The camp at Victor Harbor, apart from the shower, wasn't one of the best so I was glad to get out of here. I went to have a look at Waitpinga Beach which had a very wild and windswept beach. The Southern Ocean was its usual pounding self. From here I drove across the Fleurieu Peninsula to Rapid Bay where I was intending to stop the night. This peninsula is very hilly and the scenery is mainly straw coloured hills. It is very beaut...

I had really settled in at this camp site in Adelaide and was quite disappointed to leave, but no worries as I will be back here from the 5th January to wait for that wonderful day when Jay arrives at Adelaide Airport.
