Bombala isn't that far from the Snowy Mountains and the weather had changed during the night. We just couldn't believe it when we woke up and peered out through our curtains. We thought we were seeing things. Surely we hadn't had that much to drink last night. It had gone and bloody snowed, in Australia, in March!!! It was plus 30 degrees yesterday and now it's about minus 3!! t's a good job we were near the amenities as we'd not packed our snow boots. The caretaker Dale said that this type of weather was becoming more common as Australia was experiencing more extremes in it's weather. We couldn't go anywhere and we just sat huddled in the van underneath our duvet all day constantly brewing up as our only heat came from the gas cooker. We went to sleep hoping that the weather would change again and quickly!
