Good morning!
It's Thursday and this afternoon we're leaving Prague and jumping on a train to Vienna. Although, the journey will be incredibly dull as my iPod has broken. Just going to put that out there- if anyone knows how to fix a click wheel that doesn't work and buttons that don't do anything, please let me know. And no, I can't reset it, the buttons don't work. And yes, I have looked it up online and nothing I've found works. </iPod related moan>
So Prague, it's an alright city. Personally I don't like it as much as Berlin. We did a free city tour yesterday and I learnt a lot about the Czech Republic (I previously knew absolutely nothing) the buildings are nice, but all look very similar. The big tourist draw is a clock from the 1500s. Loads of people gather round in front of this on the hour and then some figures spin round and someone plays a trumpet. Very disappointing, considering the hype that it gets! There's not that much else to say about it, maybe we haven't looked enough but it's not too great. I do like all the cobbled streets though.
In the evening, we ate as healthily as ever (pizza and chips) and went on a pub crawl. This cost us all of the Czech koruna that we had left, although it was free drinks from 8-10, so we probably got our moneys worth. Ended up as a good night- it's always more fun to be around people who can speak your language, after a while slow talking and hand gestures gets tedious. Met some cool Canadian guys and played an intense and messy game of flip cup.
We'll probably have a bit of a stroll around the city before leaving for the 4/5 hour long journey. Speak to you in Austria!
