New York, New York
For the penultimate part of my adventure in America, I was going it alone in New York City.
Now, anyone that is reading this will presumably know what my sense of direction is like and consequently worry for my safety. But I made it to the hostel fine, I mean I got on the subway in the wrong direction to begin with but after that I arrived…
Ishbel variety is the pice of life well one on your year away
re: Session OneArun Tailor Anything up to 3 hours drive would probably be considered 'close' and anything up to 1.5 hours would be 'around the corner'. Surprised you managed to find a pub (or was it a bar?)... I always find myself acting more British in America than I usually am in England just to prove a point. Either way, perfect opportunity for 'scotch and soda' then? Friendship bracelets... lol...
re: Staff WeekArun Tailor Brilliant, it's good to hear that you guys have gotten along safely... :-) look forward to hearing stories from your trip when you return...
re: The 'Euphoric Feeling'Quelch Oh dear oh dear. On the upside that part of Spain is really touristy so maybe you'll get some English people with rented cars heading back to Malaga? Stay safe! Xx
re: Adios DignityToni You made it...to Portsmouth! Well done and take care x
re: First day of hitching complete!Kayleigh Penguins aren't as good as tortoises, anything whose main diet consists of fish can't be that great, but I reckon they're my second favourite animal now :)

re: photo from 23 June 2011Arun Tailor I'm so glad you had a chance to do the Great Barrier Reef, thats something you can tell your kids one day, "When i was your age you could dive into the water and actually see the fish up close..." I'm Jealous too... :-)
re: Cairns, QueenslandKayleigh The tour guide told us! I'm guessing they keep track of these things in the park
re: Darwin, Northern TerritorySophie Sounds wicked! So jealous. Proud that you got so close to the fish though, at least you did it. You would have regretted snorkelling in the great barrier reef! Have fun! See you soon. Xxx
