Days 677-679, 10-12 Apr '16, Amsterdam, It's been a busy but quiet couple of days - packing, cleaning and a last jaunt around the markets. We finally popped down to HEMA in the late afternoon for their coffee & cake deal (€1 each!) Excellent value here in Amsterdam - almost as good a deal as their croissant/jam/egg & bacon roll/OJ and Cappucino deal in the morning for €2.25. We spent a couple of evenings exploring the back streets of the Leidseplein area. We even had a thunderstorm which provided entertainment from our front windows (pictured). We're off to Keukenhof tomorrow to see the world famous annual tulip display. It's only open for 6-8 weeks annually and though it's been open for 3 weeks or so the blooms have been late. So tomorrow's the day! Tickets packed, transport sorted, we're off to see some blooming marvellous flowers.
