Fun Dives on the North Side!! Today we get to do our two free fun dives on the North side of Utila and then that will be us all done. Unfortunately I woke again with a bit of an upset stomach but not to let it get the better of me I popped an Imodium and sucked it up. The sunrise was beautiful and the water was crystal clear and the perfect conditions for diving. We headed around to the other side of the island today and got to see some new little cays and communities. We geared up and jumped in, I felt even more confident today and there was a lot more things to look at today. I really wanted to see a shark today and just at the end of our dive we saw the elusive nurse shark; it swam directly at us and at the very last moment changed directions and swam off into the distance. Without a doubt seeing the nurse shark was the highlight of the dive course for me and although I am still not hooked I wouldn't mind doing a bit more diving. During our two dives our boat captain went out in search of Whale sharks but unfortunately we couldn't find them but we did spot some dolphins and got to enjoy them swimming alongside the boat. The second dive was great fun aswell and we did get to see a turtle in the distance which was really nice along with some more fish. I was quite happy to have finished our final dives and I certainly feel I have the ability to dive now without a Divemaster. Returning to the Dock we cleaned our gear and then had an hour break before getting our logbooks filled out. After lunch I went for a walk around the island which was quite interesting and then relaxed hoping my body might get over the spot of diarheea I have. The others all went out to celebrate in the evening but for me I couldn't think of anything worse and decided to take the opportunity to rest.
