After a 7 hour bus journey I finally made it to Queenstown.  The bus journeys never feel that long because of the stunning scenery.  We stop every few hours and today went to Haast, Makarora and Wanaka.  All lovely little towns.

Checked into the Blacksheep lodge.  No luxury this time because it's a hostel.  I have my own room though and a tv and towels - bonus!  You get breakfast at the hotel and I'm told the kitchen opens at 7.30 and closes once all the food has been eaten - I'd better get in quick!

Went for a walk into the town centre - it's only 5 mins away.  Wanted to do something with my time today so went on the gondola.  Basically it's a cable car that takes you right up into the mountains for a fantastic view over the whole of Queenstown.  That's my 3rd cable car in a week - I think i'm getting obsessed with them!

Had a cheapy dinner this evening - 7.00 pounds all you can eat pizza!!  Managed 5 slices, some chips and a bit of salad (see mum, I had salad - I am eating healthy!)

Have gone a bit crazy and booked some activities for tomorrow.  First up is the shotover jet.  It's a jet boat that skims over the water and does 360 turns etc..  Sounded like fun.  My second activity is a canyon swing.  Basically you throw yourself off a mountain (about 109m high!) and freefall and then swing!  Am a little bit scared and am thinking of taking some imodium tonight just incase I have a little accident!

Sorry that photos are a little low on the ground - I have hundreds already but having trouble downloading.  Might not be able to find somewhere until I get to Sydney at the weekend.
