Hello well I am back in Queenstown which is cool as I loved it the last time I was here! Have travelled miles in the campervan these past few days and seen some amazing sights. Spent last Friday in Wellington which was great fun. Caught up with some mates during the day and had far too much wine way too early so by the time the gig started I was falling asleep (well it was also due to waking up at 6 not just the alcohol!). They livened up towards the end and the band was amazing, I am definitely getting back to the sax when I get home as I was very inspired!! At midnight after the gig finished there were loads of musicians and singers from the festival who had a jamming session on stage and it was so cool! Left the next morning and got the ferry back to Picton where Jim and the campervan were waiting for me! Have spent the last few days making our way down the south island and have camped at some wicked places with stunning views. Have been using a proper campsite every few days (stinky!) as you find the best scenery parking in random sites, and our best place we camped was down a dirt track in the middle of nowhere with stunning views of the sea!!! Have no got used to weeing outdoors and it is actually preferable to some of the campsite toilets!! Went back to Franz Josef on Monday and it was chucking it down with rain so Jim couldn't do the helihike but we went and visited the glaciers and had a walk around. Met up with a mate from Oz there and had a messy night in town which didn't end till 4am. We then drove hungover to Lake Wanaka yesterday which is stunning but bloody freezing!! I slept in my jeans last night and was still cold! I suppose it is my payback for missing the UK winter!! Went fishing today and on Jim's first cast he caught a 3 pound rainbow trout!!! I was absolutely crap and got bored within the first 10 minutes and as we already had our dinner I lost interest! The trout was absolutely delicious though!!!! We are now back in Queenstown for a night then off down south which I am really looking forward to as I haven't been there yet. Can't wait to see Milford Sound and the South West of the Island as it is meant to be amazing scenery. Big kisses xxx
