Well I am now in Queenstown and absolutely love it here. Finally staying put for a few days which is great as have been on the go for so long. After leaving Franz Josef on Wednesday morning we went to the Fox Glacier which looked exactly like Franz Josef - I think I have seen enough glaciers for quite a while!! and arrived in Makarora late afternoon. Stayed in a really cool rustic place in the middle of nowhere where the main attraction was karaoke - yes I did sing but only because the prize was a free canyon swing!!! (I didn't win but not because of my singing talents, the names were drawn out of a hat!)

Left Makarora the following morning and made our way to Queenstown stopping at Lake Wanaka for photos which was stunning and Puzzle World which had a huge maze and loads of wicked illusion rooms which kept us entertained for hours!!! - there weren't actually any kids there! Stopped at the bungy place as a couple of people jumped - (don't worry mum and dad I didn't do it!!) Was actually quite tempted but after having flown a stunt plane it would need to be pretty bloody amazing to top that! Have decided that I will be jumping off something in Queenstown and so will either do the bungy (eek) or the canyon swing!!! Queenstown is really cool and changed my plans slightly to stay 4 nights in Queenstown as with a really nice group of people. Went out last night firstly to the backpacker bar as there were cheap drinks and a very entertaining bungy game. We then moved on to World Bar where they serve cocktails out of teapots - no idea why! - and it was definitely preferable than tea!!

Had a nice lie in this morning as it was great knowing we didn't have to get up for a bus. Went exploring around the town and it is really nice. Booked my flight to Wellington for the Jazz Festival on 6th which should be really fun. We are off 'luging' later which I think is a bit like go karting down a hill and as there are a group of us it should be really funny! Will write more in a couple of days. Hope you are all ok and that the weather is improving. You will be pleased to know that my tan is fading fast as the weather in NZ is cold and wet!!! Bye for now xxxx
