After a bit of a nightmare journey from Miami we finally arrived in LA a day late. (We had an unplanned overnight stay in Atlanta, after missing our connecting flight). We arrived in Miami on Monday the 16th, after an 8/1/2 hour journey, which went surprisingly quickly. Our hotel, which is quite basic, is situated right on South beach, which is gorgeous. The sea is so clear and there are sand banks so you can walk out to sea for miles!!! (maybe a slight exaggeration). We have spent the past two days chilly out on the beach and discovering happy hour in the numerous bars along the sea front, slush cocktail have to be a favourite....
