Judy here…
We have had a very relaxing time the past couple of days in Victoria Falls, this morning spent sitting in the shade by the pool reading...ahh bliss! It was then off for high tea and champers at the Victoria Falls Hotel, which is the complete statement of the former english establishment where in days gone by they would fly in via sea plane for a trip to Africa. The hotel is grand and the gardens magnificent with a view from the terrace to the rail bridge that spans the Zambezi River. When the falls are at their peak you would see the spray and hear the thunder, but not today. Once again today a "clan of meerkats" were darting around the gardens after the warthogs at the Victoria Falls Hotel, so delightful to watch.
Back at our hotel for dinner, we completed our beef tasting with Zimbabwe beef for dinner, we still conclude South African beef is the best...eveeer!!!
Quote of the day - "We have to look after each other. Our survival depends on it." - "Ma" about meerkats from the Lion King
