Judy here…
Today is all about travelling home, and it is very hot at present 32 degrees, we would not like to be here in summer. First up is our flight from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg, then onto Perth with SAA later tonight. The airport at Victoria Falls is 24km from the town, so it is placed outside the wild animal zone and therefore they are not impacted. This is a tiny airport and the queues were incredible with no where to sit once inside the departure area due to the volume of people. Once at Johannesburg and checking in for our flight to Perth, there were some issues with the ticket Qantas had issued for us, which meant a bit of "tooing and froing" between the two airlines, which were on different levels and at opposite ends of the airport, this also meant we did a bit of walking..not a bad thing! it was also nice to find out we were travelling home business class which hopefully means we can lie flat and sleep, that is after I finish my book!!
