Day 58 Tuesday 8/10 Salida (Crete) 26 deg Sunny - Judy here...Lazing, walking, reading, lazing and taking in the delightful view from our accommodation. It is so wonderful to have the time to be reading, I have missed it. Another home cooked meal with a delicious cake from our local bakery for sweets.

Day 57 Monday 7/10 Salida (Crete) 24 deg Sunny - Judy here...We really are in wind-down mode, and after a lazy start we caught the local bus to Heraklion, 5th largest city in Greece, and looked at the ancient city which is mainly Venetian. The local pastry here is Bougasta, and we tried the standard one with custard, which is served warm and one with cheese, honey and nuts, served cold, both were delicious while sitting in Fountain Square in front of a 1628 V...

Day 56 Sunday 6/10 Salida (Crete) 21 deg Sunny - John here...After a late start, we walked to the town of Limon Hersonissou, along the waterfront, which was some 3k's down the road for a look around and to get our bearings. We decided to have a fish dinner in town at Kymata Restaurant and tried the Greek wine Retsina - while it's not smooth it wasn't bad.

Day 55 Saturday 5/10 Athens 20 deg Sunny - Enid here...Signing off from Timo Tours, I can highly recommend them!!!! Off the ship early, lovely to have the crew say goodbye. Now to the airport and much cooler than last Friday in Athens. I'm off to London and Jude and John to Crete. Friday 4/10 Rhodes Sunny/windy 18 deg - Judy here...A sleep in, last full day of our cruise and togetherness with Enid. Rhodes is a lovely ancient walled city right on the Aegean. It was a sunny but a very blustery cool day and due to the wind and our 3.00pm sailing, we did not spend much time ashore.
