Hey guys, just a quick update to say I am still alive and kicking. Things are all good here in Brisbane. I am still living in the house and now plan to stay here until early December before moving down to Sydney for Xmas & New Year.

I am still working in the backpacker bar, its going strong, we have had a couple of themed parties and also a few staff events which involve free grog so cannot complain I am still loving it.

There have been a couple of events going on in Brisbane over the past month, firstly there was the EKKA which is the equivalent of the Yorkshire Show I think, so I went there as I could get in for free hah, and also there was the Riverfire Festival which was a huge display of fireworks across the city and along the river it was amazing to watch! They also had some F1-11 fighter jets which do this display called Dump & Burn where they ignite a massive amount of fuel from the jets and light up the city with fire in the sky against the backdrop of the skyscrappers it was top stuff!

My birthday was quality (thanks to everyone for the money and cards!), my friends from work organised a suprise BBQ on the roof of the hostel where I work and decorated it with balloons and got alcohol etc etc, then for my birthday night out we just went down to the bar and again got drunk, I ended up being signed up for a stripping competition however I won $50 out of it so cant really complain it was all in good fun.

Thats about it really there is nothing of great interest to report on, the weather is hotting up now its been around 28/29c for the last week or so which is grand. They have a huge lagoon in the city which boasts a beach and massive pool so we head there every now and then with the guys from work.

So all in all I am still really enjoying myself!!
