We left Cambridge late yesterday evening and overnighted at the Hilton Gatwick airport so we were ready for our 7am check in for our Turkish airlines flight.
Gatwick airport is not a favourite - noisy,bustling and feeling overcrowded and that included the lounge which is usually an oasis of calm.
The flight was good with a stopover in Istanbul - very quick from London @ 3 hours, followed by a couple of hours stopover in a much calmer lounge in Istanbul, which included an in seat massage, then a 7 hour flight to Dar Es Salem arriving at 2am - earlier than scheduled.
