After an early morning gym session and breakfast at Denny's we made our way to the South Terminal by taxi, as it isn't served by the normal hotel bus services as it is away from the main terminal.
We checked in for our flight to Williams Lake and waited for an on time departure. On arrival we were met by Peggy Zorn who owns, with husband Gary, the ecotour company we were staying with. We then had a 90 minute drive to Likely, the community they live in and the centre for our walking with Grizzlies experience.
We mingled with other guests from the UK and Switzerland before our briefing, with Gary, on the tour and tomorrow's activities - we were to be with Ryan, the other guide,on a land based search for bears and wildlife. This was swiftly followed by dinner cooked by chef Dean - as the kitchen diner was open plan he got to join in the conversations which was great. The draw for him was the fishing when he finished his morning cooking! The arrangement worked really well - we had great food, he got great fishing and Gary and Peggy had another set of hands to make their operation swing.
With the thought of a 4.15am wake up call we were off to bed by 8pm - this routine worked very well as it fitted perfectly with jet lag!
(Today's photo is the beaver we saw on our river trip with Gary on 18/10/15.)
