As we didn't have to leave until midday I went to the gym before breakfast and afterwards we both went to the viewing platform - sadly no last bears.
We said our goodbyes, were taken to the airport, and finally took off in torrential rain - the flight was interesting we seemed amazingly close to the mountains as we climbed out of the valley and passed a glacier, which was clearly visible through the clouds. We landed in Vancouver in strong winds and rain - summer was definitely over. After collecting our luggage we took the shuttle to the international airport but we had several hours to kill before we could check in. So we had a coffee and importantly bought some maple syrup.....in 100ml containers so we could take it through security without it being confiscated.
As we queued to check in we met John and Jane Lewin Smith from Cambridgeshire, they had been golfing and visiting friends - small world!
(Today's photo is of bear cubs we saw at Knight Inlet.)
