Today was our last full day - it had rained heavily overnight but dawned dry but chilly. No bears during breakfast but after eating we went to the platform to see if we could find any - there were only a few birds and researchers from the fisheries department in an inflatable (today's photo) collecting dead chinook salmon which had been chipped when they were fry ( how did they identify them from the in chipped chinook - a missing dorsal fin which they had previously removed)......but still no bears.
Today we decided was to be a relaxing day that allowed us to enjoy the lodge - before lunch I went to the gym and in the afternoon I had a massage from a young French Canadian girl who looked after us at mealtimes - she was brilliant and extremely personable.
After completing our packing we had one final pre dinner visit to the platform, and although we were told that a mother and cubs had been seen upstream they didn't come our way.
So the day ended as a relaxing enjoyable but bear free day.
