The fact that we decided to do the trip through the hostel proved to be a good decision as you needed to hand back your immigration slip at the Brazilian boarder but J had lost his. Normally you have to pay a $BR160 (£60) as a fine but because our tour guide crossed the border daily they let us off the fine! RESULT! The guide walked round the falls with both of us and a girl from Switzerland. He gave us useful information and knew exactly where to be and showed us all the good parts of the park! Again we didn't have the best weather but managed to stay fairly dry. The Argentinian side was a lot different from the Brazilian, we were soo much closer to the waterfalls. The German girls we were chatting to the previous night were not going to the Argentinian side, but we were very happy we did, as we thought it was the better side to see the falls!
