Siem Reap has been our first taste of true SE Asia and so far it's set the bar quite high. Yesterday we ventured down to the river and caught a boat to the largest freshwater lake in SE Asia- Tonle Sap, also the gateway to the Mekong. We made it out of Bangkok alive...just! A crazy place with crazy people but today we made it through the slow and thorough border control of the Cambodian police/army. We now have a few days to adjust to the much slower pace of life in Siem Reap which seems nice so far. It was also exciting to find out, despite some banking issues along the way, that today we became millionaires; unfortunately in Cambodian Riel and not Sterling but the huge wad of cash did feel...
