Before we arrived here, people said to us that we wouldn't need more than a couple of days here in Phnom Penh. Due to our visas for Vietnam not starting until the 1st, it's meant we've had to spend three. We've spent a total of four days in Kampot, longer than we had anticipated but well worth it. Most of its a bit of a blur but from the bits that I do remember, it's been a lot of fun. We've met a lot of great people here which is probably why we've stayed longer. It's a shame to have left so soon- Koh Rong has been a pleasure. Although it's not as remote as it was made out to be, there are long white-sandy beaches and the water is very clear! Well I'm not sure it's news but the coach journey was as fun as it sounded and we had very little sleep. Needless to say, we arrived in Sihanoukville rather bleary eyed and a bit grumpy. A refreshing ride on the back of a local's motorbike took us from the bus station into town and then to the hostel that we had pre-booked, 'The Led Zephyr'. Battambang has been a true insight into rural Cambodia. The people are so friendly and so interested to hear where we're from, where we've been and also what football team we support. Unfortunately they haven't heard of Fulham, just Manchester United! Our hostel here has had everything we've needed and nothing more. We've had clean towels and its relatively clean.
