Tullum to Caye Caulker-Belize was an interesting trip. I left it up to the other two to organise this leg for a change. I won't be doing that again. Short flight from Havana to Cancun, only 45 minutes. Yet it still takes a whole day of traveling to get where you want to be. It was heaven when we arrived in Cancun. On the map, Tulum seems a small town but when your there it's much larger than anticipated. Cool town though with some great street food. Things to do here are the Cenotes which are deep natural wells or sinkhole. They are formed by the collapse of surface limestone and are used by ancient Mayans for offerings. Boarded a local bus called Collectivo for £2 to Playa De Carmen. All three of our perception of Playa is it's a quite place with a nice beach. When we arrived, it shocked us. There was this huge strip full of really cool restaurants, bars and shops. Was not expecting that at all because during the day it seemed nothing was going on.
