Flores to Linquin Champey was an horrific bus journey. We were in these cramped mini vans, very uncomfortable ride. The roads here in Guatemala have to be the worst in terms of pot holes. I really don't know how they could drive in the night. As they have no street lights, and these pot holes are like ditches in the middle of the road. Flores is a very small island within a lake. It takes 25 minutes to walk around it, thats how small. All the buildings are colourful, much like Cuba. Caye Caulker to San Ignacio in Belize was a easy ride but sweltering. Much cheaper than getting their from Mexico too. Although the people when we got off the boat in Belize said the buses cost $90BZ but I knew already that it cost $10BZ via the local buses.
