Following a really enjoyable time in Canberra it was back down to Melbourne and to the small town of Torquay, basically a beach town. It was actually where the brand Ripcurl was invented
We spent the entire time down at the beach surfing and skimming at either Jan Juc or the back beach! Not alot to report other than real good times, real good swells and real cold beer. It was pretty much a party town, although it did only have 1 pub.
On the days that we weren't surfing we would head down to a couple of sightseeing places. I really wanted to say that I had surfed Bells beach but unfortunatley the only days that it was actually working it was double over head and there was a comp on. Winkipop was a really good wave as well but it was either super big or super busy so didn't fancy surfing it. gutted!
We also went to the surfing museum which was really cool, there were alot of cool artifacts like boards that had been donated by the pros after winning the Bells contest. We actually got to see the famous bell. Awesome stuff
