So we arrived in Foz do Iguacu on the Brazilian side of the falls on Wednesday morning after finally seeing some sun in Rio on our last day, albeit from the inside of the bus!! We arrived in Rio late Saturday night and formed a 7 after meeting Heather's mate Frenchie at the airport. The hostel looked like a prison from the outside! Luckily we were only due to stay for one night and inside it wasn't too bad. We were pretty happy to arrive in Salvador after the godawful (or amazing according to Jonny) boat trip from Manuas to Santarem and then the 3 flights to take us from Santarem back to Manuas (!), Manuas to Brasilia and Brasilia to Salvador.
