Well half a day and 1 night was too much time in baron Port d*** on.
Arrived off our bus from KL and grabbed a taxi driver to take us to a beach side hotel. After checking all the dingiest (excuse my French) s***holes we eventually found a haf decent place that was still way over priced but at least had free Wifi and Air-Con. We did nothing all day apart from go out and check the desserted beachfront. Chilled the remainder of the day in the room by surfing the net. Have both decided that we would be better off heading for Singapore as soon as and have found cheap return flights to Bali so may just be heading their to fill in time before our flight to Melbourne.
That night we headed out in search of some food and walked about a mile without coming across any restaurants or even street vendors. We did eventually find one which never spoke a word of English and the whole menu was in Malay. Decided to head back and see if there was anything the other direction from our hotel. Thankfully there was one chinese restaurant open that had a good speaking English guy so ate there. To be fair the food was again superb like 95% of the food we have eaten in Malaysia. I had some Tiger Prawns and Noddles in Red Wine Sauce and Brishay had Lemon Chicken and steamed rice.
Not much more to say in this blog really and is why we are leaving tomorrow morning heading further South to a place called Melaka. We are going to spend 2nights there we think as is meant to be a big city so will hopefully be some sights to see and will prob end up booking our flights to Bali. One plus note is I did manage to stay up and watch Scotlands Euro Qualifier against Lithuania at 3am and they won so there is still hope if very very slim lol! As said head for Melaka then depending on flight we book will maybe be a night in Singapore before flying to Bali for 6/7nights then returing back for couple nights in Singa before jetting off down under which both are really looking forward too. Think both had enough of Asia now and with Malaysia not being our favourite stop are happy to getting settled into life as an Aussie lol!
Next stop Melaka...
