The rest of the coach journey yesterday was looong. I attempted to catch a bus to Cloudland Hostel but as I was trying to work out where to go, a taxi drove past and I was weak!
When I was checking in at Cloudland I found Elisha! She was just checking out and heading back to the UK :( will be weird without her. We said our goodbyes then I went to get clean! When I got out of the shower I had a call from Elisha she was still in the city trying to get a taxi and was getting a bit stressed out, luckily as we were on the phone one picked her up!
I went to relax, grabbed some food and watched a movie. When I was heading to bed I had another call from Elisha, she was in Shenzen but her luggage wouldn't be there until the next afternoon which was too late for her UK flight so she was getting very worked up. I couldn't help much :( I suggested she found somewhere to stay and spoke to someone in English. I had a text over the night and she was stuck with nowhere to stay. Fortuntately I had a text today and she was in Hong Kong doing much better.
I woke up today too early, 4am!!! I got ready and went to check out and there was no-one around (despite the girl telling me I would be able to get a 5am taxi the day before...) I had to call the desk and luckily someone woke up.
I checked out and got a taxi quite easily. When I arrived at the airport it was closed! I was only waiting about 15 minutes though before it opened. That was about 5:00am I think. Not much happened for ages after that. MY plane didn't check in until 7:20am but luckily KFC opened at 6am and I could get a brew!
When the time came I checked in and went through security very easily, before I knew it I was on a plane to Beijing! I tried my best not to be nervous and it wasn't too bad except when there was bad turbulance... Regardless, I was happy when we landed!
I caught the shuttle bus into the city then decided to walk to the hostel since the weather looked good. In hindsight I should've listened to "Beijing is very big and you can't really walk around it". I managed to find my way but I was pretty tired when I arrived!
I checked in then went for some food and to do some planning. I've decided I want to go to Harbin. Afterwards it was quite late but I went for a walk around the area I had seen earlier before it went dark. I found a Chinese cinema with English subtitles and I got lost so it was a nice walk :)
I'm now back relaxing and the hotel/hostel until I work out if it's safe at night!
