Yesterday evening Tom arrived and we had a chat and a few beers, it was cool. This morning I woke up early, showered with shampoo because I'd lost my soap(!) then had some breakfast. I got talking to some Australian girls again. They were sisters called Nicole and Alison. Thy were really friendly and decided to come to the Stone Forest (Shi Lin) with me so we left about 11am for the bus. Our journey there was quite long winded, taxi, bus, then another bus, but ...

For the rest of Tuesday I took it easy. I went for a Muslim meal with Sam and Andy for tea which was very nice, especially the cheese! Later we watched a film about Che Guavara then Steve and Kerri arrived. They are teachers on our programme but not in Hunan. We had a drink with them but everyone was tired and Sam/Andy were leaving the next morning so we didn't stay up too late. On Wednesday I was still a little worse for wear so I skipped the Stone Forest agai...

When the train arrived in Kunming I found a taxi and the hostel easily enough. I t was much warmer than Guilin and the hostel was very nice so I unpacked and had a shower. Afterwards I decided to look around and ran into Sam G who was visiting Kunming with Andy! They had just arrived so I let them get sorted and I went for a walk to find some lunch whilst my clothes were washing.
