Well it’s has been a couple of days since the last blog , but we took a day to relax and listen to the sad radio call of Parra choking again against the storm. We decided we wold go back and find the three main places that we found suited us the best. The dessert place , MeZen restaurant and Lola’s restaurant.It was a great day except for the Parra result.

The next day we are back on track, up early quick breakfast, a chat with a young couple from Australia, then into a cab an off to the bus station. Here the forgetful me left my wallet on the chair in the cafeteria when went to wait for the bus. If an old begged woman hadn’t asked me for a non repayable loan I would’ve lose it. I race back in and fortunately for me it had been handed in, big relief.

We climb on the bus around 9:00am and start our 4hr bus which took 5hrs to a small town where we will catch a ferry to Corfu, this takes another 2hrs and we arrive in the port of Corfu at 4:00 pm.

We catch a taxi to our beautiful biotic hotel and are we happy. The room over looks the the street ,it has that certain charm of the early years of a Greek movie..

As is the tradition it is off to explore and wet the whistle . Food on Corfu is 3 times as dear here then it was in Thessaloniki, but such is life. I say to Shirley why do us tourist always believe that overseas will be cheaper, when like us their all trying to make a living and here on Corfu they have a captured audience.

Well tomorrow is another day and more exploring is needed. We hope to find a few interesting place for you all to think about for that holiday that I’m sure is not that far away.
