Day 28 28/9/2018
Our day in Mykonos

Up at 5.30 car pickup at 6, off to the airport for our flight to Mykonos for a day. All goes well planes ain’t cancelled flight was uneventful and it took of on time, 45 minutes later arrived in Mykonos, to easy. Now for only the second time in my travelling life there is no one there to pick us up and get us to our hotel, so we decide to catch the local bus into town the catch a second bus to our hotel . All was going well til I missed the name on a bus and then it absolutely pissed down rain , and the bus was gone , we had to wait and extra half hour,Shirley was not impressed. All worked out in the end and now we are at the hotel , All white as is the whole island, swimming pool , great room, they upgrade us and on top of that they feed us when we arrived .
We settle in and decided that with just a day to explore we better get into it . Again we used the public transport back into the main town and began what will be known from here in as the impossible exploration of Mykonos, we covered so much territory you would have to have been here to believe it. It was like we were on a mission yet we still found time to carry on our tradition have a bite to eat and do a little shopping . The main bite was for dinner a the local fish tavenera Kavos.
Shirley had gigantic tiger prawns and I whole Sea bass both were delicious ,would go again if we had that other day. While we were having dinner a cruise line had docked and the amount of sheep was stunning , when I say sheep I mean people just following each other ,one group after the other, and none of them look to be enjoying what they were doing, crazy.
We home now and we are off to bed as we have another early morning so I will wish you all goodnight and hope all is well.
