Though the day started off a little rough with a spat with the hotel it was a great day! Breakfast was awesome! As far as hotel breakfasts go this one went hard in the yard!
Once we finally got on our way we hit the street with a vengeance! We made it across Charles Bridge and walked in king's feetsteps to the castle. Once again I was struck with the enormous sense of history we were standing and walking amongst. I couldn't help but wish we weren't tourists in an ancient city revamped for tourists. I only wish we could have experienced this town before it was all gift shops and restaurants. Just standing in the castle I was aweshrunk. That is the sense of myself instantly shriveled and I was in a sense of awe, which I would imagine is the purpose of any castle. This was motes and swords above any other castle I've ever been in before though.
We had an amazing lunch in a little hole in the wall where we were the only patrons. The cream if mushroom soup was one of the best either of us ever had and the stuffed turkey breast was top notch.
We ended up getting rained out and instead if walking back to the hotel we ended up take g a $60 cab ride. Probably the best 10-15 minutes we've ever had together. Well...nevermind... All in all it was worth it to get out of the blanket of rain we were being choked with.
We kept it easy the rest of the day with a picnic dinner in the room to escape the rain. Best invention ever is drinking wine Nd watching awesomely awesome 80's music videos!!!!
