Our first night in prague was pretty epic! We got off the plane and lugged our huge bags onto the pubic transit system. Once on the bus I got hit by the door opening and laughed at by some other travelers. We then took the underground subsonic train to where our hotel was. We didn't realize our hotel was directly across from the station so we started walking down the street. We got about a quarter mile down the road with all our suitcases when we decided to turn around. It was pretty funny when we got back to the station and saw our hotel right across the street.
After checking in and getting refreshed from the trek we hit the town! Prague is an amazing city. So many cool buildings, not to mention the doors some of these buildings have. Just imagining what the square must have been like during the time it was built is a trip! Walking on the cobblestone streets you can't help but soak up the history.
We had a dinner at a little spot that had live jazz playing, and must have been the only place in Prague that doesn't serve pilsner urquell. We shares the carpaccio which was totally amazing and by far the star of the evening!!! Then we shared the big Czech plate that had duck, rabbit, chicken, polenta, cabbage, and bread. The meat was good though not very tender. What blew us away was the cabbage. It was delicious!
As it was getting dark we headed back to the hotel and pretty much passed out as soon as we walked in the room. It had been a long day!!!
