At 4.30 am Thursday morning USA time, we sailed past the Statue of Liberty, we got up to see it but then sneaked back to bed for our last sleep on Queen Victoria. We are now docked alongside the Queen Elizabeth, our next ship to transfer to, right next to the Intrepid Air and Sea Museum on the Hudson River in Central Manhattan.
We are looking forward to exploring our new home for the next six weeks after we have spent some shopping time in New York.
We'll be spending the day with Robert and Lucy before heading back onboard to our next destination on Sunday, Fort Lauderdale, where we'll be meeting our Floridian friends, so very excited about that!
We have made friends that won't be continuing on the Queen Elizabeth and who are staying on the Queen Victoria or Queen Mary2, so Bon Voyage to you too and keep in touch with us! Special mention to Helen and Graham, happy sailing and see you back in lovely Yorkshire.
