Busselton SundayThe weather pattern here is definitely cloudy with a shower a.m. and clearing p.m.We got wakened last night about 1.30 by a siren going of for about a minute.First thoughts was a bush fire then I remembered we are not in the bush but we are camped under a tree, second thought was tsunami so I thought well it will put the bush fire out.Shows how little notice we take of warnings.Nobody else mentioned it today and we are now thinking it was either calling out the fire service or the coastguard Church this morning and lunch in town then of to tackle the jetty walk. Actually I planned today thinking there was a train ran down the jetty to the underwater observatory nearly 2 k down at the other end of the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere and the second longest in the world just metres shorter than Southend pier in the UK. But no they have had to stop running the train because the jetty is too unstable for it which doesn't give you much confidence walking on it especially after all the pies, pastries and chips we have been eating. It is a bit scary and I don't know how they get away with it health and safety wise but W.A. is definitely not a nanny state. It was worth the walk and I would recommend you go there if you are over this way. It's like scuba diving without getting wet or being in one of the glass tunnels in an aquarium but this is the actual sea bed and the marine life on the pylons of the jetty and the fish are beautiful.Highly recommended as is the Italian Ice cream shop in Busselton you must visit after that long walk
