This morning we woke up on the train at 4am in Hanoi. We transfered to a bus to take us to Halong Bay. After 3 hours we arrived in Halong Bay. Our hotel is waterfront and the view is amazing! We couldn't get our room so early in the morning, so I went for a run along the ocean. It is so quiet and peaceful here. The thousands of green islands remind me of Advatar. This morning, we took a bus to Hanoi. Once we arrived, we walked around Hanoi and Albert showed us around a bit. This city is really busy. Everyone is in a hurry and it is hard to cross the road. The streets are just shop after shop after shop. Each street has a specialty. One street is just for toys, another just sunglasses, another shirts and a different one for jewelry. Today we slept in and then did some shopping. The shopping here isn't all that great. I just got some knock off Ray Bands and some snacks for the night train. The street vendors are so persistent in Vietnam. They stalk us and wait for us outside each store we go in to. We left the hotel for the night train at 2pm. The train ride to Hanoi is 14 hours. Today we traveled by bus to Hue. The scenery on the trip was amazing. We were going up and down winding roads on mountains of greenery. We stopped at the top of the highest peak in Vietnam to take in the view and get some good pictures. Once in Hue, we did a motorbike tour.
