Phew! It's been a big few days! We left Paris and head to Kriens which is just outside of Lucerne, which is in Switzerland! Look at how my Geography is improving already! Lucerne is one of my favourite places so far! It was absolutely beautiful. We arrived on the 23rd Dec, had a lovely dinner and crashed in our super cosy beds......still struggling with that personal space issue. Christmas Eve morning kicked off with a cable ride up Mt Pilatus. The views were spectacular and it was our first snow sighting. We haven't seen it snow yet but there was plenty on the ground! After our cable ride we headed into Lucerne for lunch. Which first course was a cheese fondue.....yummy!!!! We then had Bratwurst and the most delicious hash brown thing and finished off with ice cream. We then made a visit to Harry's which sold Swiss watches and Army knives! Had some very cool things. We then had the afternoon to ourselves to explore the beautiful town. I just loved walking up the cobble streets and seeing the little shops! That night we had dinner back at the hotel and then caught up with the other Winter Wanderer for a pub crawl around Lucerne. Fun!
Christmas Day saw us leave Lucerne and head for our Chateau in France! We stayed in our very own castle! Pretty cool. We had a lovely Christmas Dinner and then gathered around the Christmas tree for secret Santa. It was a really nice night. Nick and Erno (tour manager and bus driver) had decorated our coach an played carols for us all day so it was very Christmassy!
Today we are leaving France again and heading to Barcelona! Looking forward to that! Not the most exciting read I know but it's been a few quiet days with lots of traveling! Hope you all had a great Christmas! Love to you all xoxoxo
