After waking up at Karibu Creek we hit the road south to Rotorua stopping on the way to watch an hour or two of competition show jumping (how lucky I was Jo spotted this as we drove past!!) arriving early evening we checked into the YHA hostel which we have to say is the nicest hostel you will ever stay in...... After an amazing 2 weeks in the south island we caught a flight back up to Auckland which was a harrowing ordeal for both of us.... it was raining so bad and the turbulence was just horrific!! On our way to Queenstown we took the inland scenic route so that we would pass Mount Cook (highest mountain in NZ), we had taken a drive out this way from Christchurch earlier in the week but due to the weather being so misty we couldnt see it!!!
